General Issues
"Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking" by Susan Cain, Crown Publishing Group, 2012. This non-fiction book includes the latest research in psychology and neuroscience to show how introverts and extraverts differ. The author highlights how todays’ culture values “personality” over “character” and undervalues the quiet introvert. In doing so, many invaluable contributions introverts have made are lost sight of, and future contributions may be overlooked. This book can help introverts (and others) come to appreciate how an introverted temperament has much to offer our society.
“Decluttering at the Speed of Life: Winning Your Never-Ending Battle with Stuff” by Dana K. Whit, 2018
This is an excellent resource with very workable steps to overcome the overwhelming task of decluttering your living space. Dana identifies the emotional challenges that make it difficult to declutter, and in a conversational and humorous tone, guides you with simple life changing steps to break through these struggles. Note, it is available to borrow free as an audiobook download from the Brisbane City Council Library.

"How Successful People Think - Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life" by John C Maxwell.
This is a very concise book written by an expert in leadership. He gives you tips to help you find new ways of thinking and approaching your life. I particularly like his chapter on the importance of taking time out to reflect on your day (and life) with specific questions to show you how to do this in a healthy and life enhancing way. Note, it is available to borrow free as an audiobook download from the Brisbane City Council Library.
